Childcare is provided. We will finish up "Character Makeover" and begin the study of Romans. This is a great way to dig deeper into the Bible and get to know many wonderful women. Dance-Off:   Our PTL Spring Fundraiser will be held March 5 and Bethany’s students will dancing their hearts out with the goal of raising at least $10,000 toward school programs. (In fact, if the students raise $10,000, I’ve agreed to put my office on the roof for a day!)  We’ll have a DJ for our dance-off, and our “dance diva” will be our very own Mrs. Moorman! If you’d like to contribute to the cause, contact the school office and we’ll put you in touch with a student you can sponsor for the day.

Our New Moms Group has officially been meeting for a whole year!  If you are a "New Mom" please consider joining our group, we always have room for more. We meet every other Friday morning at 10:00AM with our kids, for a play date in the nursery. We will be meeting this month on March 5 & 19.  If you're interested or have questions, please contact Sarah O'Conner.

Bring your dingy automobiles to the NYG Car Wash on Saturday March 6, from 9:00AM to 1:00PM in the Bethany Parking Lot. Help support our High School Youth Group as they raise funds to attend the National Youth Gathering in New Orleans this summer. Tickets can be purchased for $8.00 from the Youth table after each Sunday Morning service on February 28 or from one of our NYG participants.

We want to share all the GREAT stuff happening here so you can share it with others. Help us kick off National Lutheran Schools Week and plan to join us for a Congregational Open House on Sunday, March 7 from 9AM-2PM, even (or maybe especially) if you don't have children in our school. Coffee will be served in Freedom Square that day, and all classrooms will be open for you to wander through. See you there!

We are getting closer to our annual Bethany tourney of 2101! Fliers will be available in Friendship Square on Sundays starting January 31 in both the church and school offices as well. Cost remains the same at $100 - Friday, March 19 at the Montebello Country Club. We'll have a shot-gun start at 8AM with plenty of food/beverage, as well as some outstanding raffle prizes. Join the Board of Evangelism on Saturday, March 20 for Bethany’s 2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt!

The festivities will begin at 10:00AM with crafts, a short message, snacks and prizes, plus THREE age appropriate hunts:

Preschool
Kindergarten & 1st grade
2nd - 4th grade

This is an easy and non-threatening way to bring those who do not know Jesus to church!

We are in need of loving souls to help work the day of the event, individually wrapped candy for our goodie bags, bakers for our snacks, and of course plastic Easter eggs! There will be collection boxes in the church and school offices until March 14th if you would like to help in this manor. If you are interested and willing to help or would like more information, please see any member of the Board of Evangelism or talk to Sarah O’Conner. We hope to see you there, and most importantly don’t forget to invite a friend!

On Saturday, March 20, 2010 we will be taking a sunset cruise at 6:30PM at Gondola Getaway. Gondola Getaway has authentic Venetian gondoldas that gently cruise the enchanting canals and waterways of Naples Island near the resort area of Belmont Shores in Long Beach. The cost is $22 per person and a limited number of spots are available.

Tickets will be available for purchase in Friendship Squa4re after Sunday morning worship beginning February 14.

Science Fair:   Our students have been hard-at-work, flexing their “scientific method muscles,” and we’re anxious to see their results.  Our Science Fair will be March 23 from 6:30-8:00PM. You are welcome to join us!

Light Force (gr. 5-6): Light Force will be meeting on Saturday, March 27th. It will be an evening of Service, Pizza, and a Movie! We will do the palm branches at the lunch tables and then head up to the Youth Center for pizza and movie. Join us on Saturday from 4-7PM. Cost is $3 to help cover food. It’s time for our Dinner and Auction!

Bethany’s National Youth Gathering Auction Dinner (a once every three year event) is less than 4 weeks away on Saturday, March 27th.  

You will be able enjoy an evening of fun and good food (Italian) with your Bethany family. 

Tickets will be on sale in the Friendship Square very soon.  Cost is $10 for adults and $5 of children.  Even if you don’t want nor plan to bid on anything, you’ll have a great time and your presence will assist our youth in attending this once-in-a-lifetime event. Of course you’ll have the option of bidding on items that are up for auction both silent and public.  If you have items that would be good for auction and would be willing to donate them please contact Pastor Seth or Pastor Kevin.  Tickets to events or attractions, a weekend away at a cabin or beach house or time share, a service, collectibles…just to name a few of the items that have been successfully auctioned off in the past. 

Remember, even if you don’t have anything to donate, and don’t plan to make a single bid, come join us for an evening of fun and food with the Bethany family on one of the few occasions when a major cross section of the congregation comes together in an informal atmosphere.
