Beutel Scholarship Grant Applications:

Applications are now being accepted for academic year 2012-2013 and are available in the Church Office. These applications are for students attending a college or university of our Lutheran Church Missouri Synod in preparation for a full-time career as a pastor, teacher, deaconess, youth director, social worker, lay missionary worker, medical missionary, or parish worker. The purpose of the grant is to encourage our young people to pursue a career in church work and to give them assistance in reaching this goal. All scholarships are awarded on an annual basis. If a student needs scholarship help for the school term beginning in the fall of 2012, they must apply between February 1 and March 1 of this year. In order for students to be eligible, they MUST return the completed application to the Church Office (Elder's Box) ON or BEFORE Thursday, March 1, 2012.

Moms In Touch International has a new name: Moms in Prayer International

The mission and vision remain the same: praying for children and schools. Now, the name describes what we do. It brings simplicity and clarity to the mission and vision, and the word “prayer” gives unity to our Moms in Prayer groups around the world since it is more easily translated into other languages. Our purpose is to call moms around the world to meet regularly to pray using the Four Steps of Prayer, in one accord, agreement prayer for God to transform children and schools. The core values and statement of faith are exactly the same.  Only the name has changed.  Moms in Prayer is working to update online resources to incorporate the new name. They will maintain www.MomsInTouch.org, but the main web address will now be www.MomsInPrayer.org

Moms in Prayer: It's what we do. It's who we are.

Join us on Wednesday mornings, 8:45-9:45AM in the Conference Room.  - Connie Kritzer

Greeters and Visitor Table:

The Board of Evangelism is looking for a few people to serve as greeters for our Sunday worship services and some willing volunteers to staff our visitor table every week. Training will be provided. Contact the church office if your interested.

Visitor Contact Teams:

  • Do you like to write post cards?
  • Would you be willing to send visitors a card or an email when they attend Bethany?

We are looking for a few people to write notes to our visitors and thank them for attending and invite them back to worship with us. Contact Pr. Seth if you are interested at smoorman@bethanylutheran.org.

Are You Receiving The Bethany Bullet?

The Bethany Bullet is a weekly capsule of worship highlights and big information that your brain may or may not have 'downloaded' from the prior Sunday. The purpose is to bolster you in faith, build you up in the key Biblical themes shared the previous Sunday in worship, to bring to mind the important issues on Bethany's plate and to broaden your awareness of opportunities of service to your Lord, your church, and your community. Tell a friend about The Bethany Bullet! Click on this link to subscribe to this email:
