Deadline for NOVEMBER Chimes:
Please submit your articles for the November monthly Chimes to Aimee Coleman at acoleman@bethanylutheran.org by Friday, October 15, 2010. Our Chimers will meet on Thursday, October 28 at 8:00AM in the Parish Lounge to assemble the monthly Chimes.
Water for Life:
The Board of Evangelism is starting a new ministry this month that will deliver a letter and a reusable Bethany water bottle to all visitors that come to worship with us. We're in need of people who are willing to deliver these care packages each month. Contact Pr. Seth Moorman if you want to help at smoorman@bethanylutheran.org.
Water for Drinking:
Picture a small village with those living there putting themselves back together after a Tsumani. They have few resources to aid them; yet, they continue to perservere. Daily water is necessary for their preservation. They walk five miles everyday to a nearby village for water. Think on Jesus saying in Mark 9:41, "For truly, I say to you, whoever gives you a cup of water to drink because you belong to Christ will be no means lose his reward." We at Bethany have given not a cup of water, but a well of water...more accurately we have donated money for a well in a village in teh state of Andra Pradesh near Chennai, India! We sacrificed little to do this. This is a small kindness that surely gives glory to Christ! This kindness also supports the LCMS World Relief Project there. Let us consider what else we can do to develop strong mission outreach and passionately continue to make a difference and follow our Bethany Blueprint, "Share Intentionally".
Moms Group:
The Moms Group (moms with younger children) will meet on Friday, October 8 & 22 at 10AM in the Church Nursery.
Moms in Touch International:
Are you a mom who deeply loves your chidlren and longs for them to grow up to be loving, confident, and successful? Do you fear that influence outstide your control will steal their hearts? You are not alone.
Moms in Touch International is...two or more moms who meet regularly to pray for their children, their schools, their teachers, and adminstrators. Mothers, grandmothers, or anyone who is willing to pray for a specific child and school. Moms who believe that prayer makes a difference. We are blessed that many of our area schools, both public and private, have Moms in Touch groups meeting every week to pray. To find a group at your school, or to learn more about this organization, go to www.MomsInTouch.org. Bethany's group meets Wednesday mornings, 8:45-9:45AM in the Conference Room. - Connie Kritzer

Election Forum on Sunday, October 10, 2010 from 12:30 to 3:00PM. We have one of the most critical elections in decades coming up on November 2. In order to preserve the liberty our Lord gave us, we must fulfill our obligation to stay informed on the issues and vote in accordance with our Christian values.
