2010-2011 Tuition and Registration Fees

Bethany Lutheran School offers two tuition schedules: one for families who are members of Bethany Lutheran Church and the other for all other families. Claiming membership in Bethany Lutheran Church means:

a. One or both parents of the child are members and are listed on the church roll.
b. The members are regular in their church and communion attendance and support Bethany Lutheran Church through their contributions.

All families are encouraged to use our SCRIP program. All families are allowed to accumulate SCRIP credits which are used to offset some of the tuition fee. The SCRIP program is explained in a letter available from the school office.

Members of the Community

One child.............................$5,730 ($573 monthly)
Two children.........................$9,980 ($989 monthly)
Three children.....................$12,580 ($1258 monthly)

Tuition payments are made through the school office. Most families choose to pay in 10 equal payments. If this method is chosen, the first payment is due between August 1-5 and the last payment is due between May 1-5. Tuitions paid in full *by August 1 will receive a 5% reduction. When a tuition payment is not made by the 10th of the month, a $30 late fee is added. Communication with the school office regarding matters of tuition is vital. Bethany Lutheran School does not refuse enrollment solely die to matters of money if there is room available. If your family is struggling to meet tuition payments, please ask about need-based financial aid.

There is a registration fee of $250 per child. For new students, this fee is due upon enrollment. For returning students, half of this amount, or $125, is due within two weeks of receiving the registration packet. The remaining half is to be paid on or before the last day of school, June 17, 2010. This is a non-refundable fee. This fee includes a playground insurance premium, a library fee, a school yearbook, a package of individual school photos, a book rental fee, and other miscellaneous fees. With this fee, the school will furnish a complete set of textbooks for each pupil on a rental basis. This fee does not include some literature books that the students must purchase.

Questions concerning the tax deductibility of payments to Bethany Lutheran School or Bethany Lutheran Church should be referred to qualified tax counsel.
