Heroes...Searching the Scriptures of our Parish Theme
This month we focus on the Hero Philip, who is remembered for his gift of teaching. The study this month follows an adapted form of Lectio Divina, which is an “ancient future” way to read and study God’s Holy Word. The eight steps suggested can work well for all ages of family members. Parents may have to rephrase the questions and help guide answers with younger children.
Please begin with a word of prayer:
Heavenly Father, guide our family as we study your word together. May our hearts be open to the truth your Holy Spirit desires to teach us. In the Name of Jesus, our Savior and Lord. Amen.

Tentatio…What truth or promise do I struggle with? What is hard for me to understand? For example: How will I know the Spirit is really talking to me?
Step Eight:
Contemplatio…What truth or promise of God can I treasure in my heart today? For example: Baptism can be a life-changing experience.
