Bethany Lutheran’s 54th Annual Christmas Concerts: “O Holy Night”:
On Sunday, December 14, a 54-year community Christmas tradition will take place at Bethany Lutheran Church of Long Beach, as it has since 1969. The public is invited to attend one of two Christmas concerts, “O Holy Night,” at 3:00PM or 7:00PM. This concert is a FREE TICKETED EVENT, and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. A freewill offering will be received to benefit Bethany Lutheran Music Ministry and Music Scholarship Fund. Tickets are available beginning Wednesday, November 12.
Noah Freeman, Director of Music and Worship Arts, will lead this year’s concerts and has selected a variety of sacred choral and orchestral music. The Bethany Choir, Jubilate Handbell Choir, Crescendo Handbell Choir, and the Trinity & Troubadour Choirs will present anthems by Jeffrey Blersch, Greg Gilpin, David von Kampen, Jay Rouse, Taylor Scott Davis, Daniel Kantor, John Ferguson, and Brett Stewart - all of which share the message of how all of humanity changed on that one, o holy night.
Our concert organist, Robert Bottoms, and our piano accompanist, Kevin Bowers will be featured in the program.
