Bethany Parents,

We are writing to let you know that Jill Moorman passed away on Friday, February 23 after her valiant battle against melanoma.  She now rests in the arms of her Savior Jesus.
Mrs. Moorman joined the Bethany staff in 1999 as our 8th Grade homeroom/Jr. High English teacher.  In 2003 she began her work with students who struggle with reading/spelling and launched Bethany’s Student Success Program, a program that has helped hundreds of students grow in both skills and confidence.  She was a bright and visible presence on our campus and will leave a “big Jill-shaped hole” behind, as one staff member put it.
We thank God for giving Mrs. Moorman to us to know and love as a teacher, friend and colleague. We rejoice that she has now received the crown of life, purchased and won for her by Jesus’ death and resurrection. And we look forward to a joyful reunion with her in heaven.
Our counselor and pastors will be available to offer words of hope and healing, especially for students who worked with Mrs. Moorman in Student Success.
We thank you for continuing to keep Jill’s husband, Seth, and her daughters Marissa and Mariah in your prayers as they walk this difficult path.   We will keep you informed about any memorial service details as they become available.

Trusting in His promises and thankful for our Bethany family,
Dr. Fink

“Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.”    I Thessalonians 4:13-14
