Our E.D.C. program is available to all children enrolled in Bethany Lutheran School. It operates from 6:30 - 8:30 am and from 3:10 - 6:00 p.m. It may be used on a regular or part-time basis. Each month, each family fills out a day care order form in which anticipated needs for that month are listed and prepaid. The rate is ranges from $4.75 to $7.50 per hour depending on usage. Child care is also offered during Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks for families who need care.
Bethany Lutheran School operates a Summer Day Camp for the full summer, with the exception of a few days at the end of the summer vacation. The available hours are 6:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. This camp is purchased by the day, week, or session. Information regarding each year's summer camp is available in April of that year.
Welcome to Bethany's Parent Teacher League (PTL)! Every Bethany parent and teacher is automatically a member of Bethany's PTL. The purposes of the PTL are to support the mission, programs and activities of the day school and preschool, and to make efforts to involve parents and help them develop a closer relationship with their children's school. The PTL also raises money to support school programs and activities such as the school library, buses for camps, the Pumpkin Patch carnival, Fun Day, and much more.
PTL Officers are elected each June by the PTL members.
PTL Board meetings are held the fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:30 PM in the School Library. All Bethany parents are welcome to attend these meetings. The PTL budget, minutes and treasurer's reports from these meetings are posted here:

Bethany Lutheran School administers the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) in grades 3-8, and the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) in grades 3, 5, and 7. These tests are given in the fall and are nationally-normed, which means Bethany students are compared to other students across the nation who take the same test. All Bethany students, including students with learning disabilities, take the ITBS and all results are included in school scores.
2016 National *Percentile Rankings/Student Scores
"How does the average Bethany student compare with other students in the same grade across the nation who took the same test?"
*A percentile rank is a score that tells the percentage of students who had LOWER scores than this student.
Bethany parents, here is a helpful presentation to use when looking at your child's test scores.
