Parents may visit the classroom but must stop by the Preschool Director's office to sign in and get a visitor’s badge. Due to regulations, only enrolled children may stay in the classroom without their parents present. Any visitors engaging with children must have a copy of the following immunization records on file in the preschool office: yearly Flu shot, MMR, DTaP (TDaP), and TB.
Visitors and volunteers who wish to participate in the classroom for more than 10 hours/month must complete the Mandated Reporter Training and the Department of Justice's Live Scan background check.
Parent-Teacher Communication
Teachers utilize the app ClassDojo to communicate regularly with parents as well as post pictures throughout the week.
When children are present in the classroom, teachers are required to give them their full attention, so you may not receive a response to a message right away. Teachers may only respond to ClassDojo messages from 8 am-4 pm.
Parent conferences are held yearly. Dates for these conferences will be announced in advance and by appointment. Parents are provided with an assessment three times a year.
A bi-weekly newsletter and other important communications are sent home via email or ClassDojo.
The Preschool utilizes Gradelink to send text message updates and whole school emails.
